let's get philosiphical!
1 DAY TO PROMOS!!!! (OMG!!!!)[#02/22]
current music: AAA - BLOOD on FIRE
in case u were wondering, AAA is a new japanese group. it actually stands for Attack All Around. yea, the gals r hot. juz ignore the guys.
spent the day studying at home. maybe that's why i got into such a philosophical mood today. i was chatting with ed and i think the thing started with the question is posed to him, "do u think it's tougher as a student or as a working adult?". he says that being a student is tougher and qualifies his stand by saying 'students have more stress' and that 'students don't have much choice whereas an adult can juz quit if he likes' but i managed to rebut with some point like 'how will the adult support his expenses and family' and 'adults have stress too'. then he said that the adult can just forget about having a family but i said that it would be quite sad. what's the meaning of life if there isn't people that you love that you will do anything to protect them and provide for them?
we left that discussion hanging and moved on to making conclusions like "what's important is to make full use of what you have now" and "do everything you want so you don't regret". then talked about the future and he says that he enjoys office politics. i'm ok with a little gossip but i don't like the manipulation.
then i said that i actually kind of look foward to ns because i can get fitter and also have more really close friends. very strong friendships will be forged when we go through all the hardships together. he said what if they were bad company so i said that in the end it all comes down to each person's beliefs and principles. i believe that true friendship will cause all the parties involved to influence and be influenced by each other. his conclusion? "adapt but remain unchanged". i feel kinda differently though. i think we should be more open-minded and be ready to embrace changes as long as our integrity and priciples are not compromised.
aah. that brought me to this quote i saw on a calender. "strangers are friends you have yet to meet..." i think it's something that we all know but tend to 4get. and somehow it seems to be full of hope.
i said that maybe i'm just a sentimental fool. then he goes on about how he has lost contact with his primary school friends and is jealous that i'm still in touch with mine. then he goes on about the future is unpredictable and that friendships may fade over time. so i said "that's why we should live 'today' to the fullest". i wanna party...meet more people...clubbing sounds like such a fun prospect.
we sounded so philosophical today. seems like we've grown mentally without much realisation. but physically still got catching up to do! muz catch up during holidays and make full use of the time we have! if not how to attract girls? haha. just joking la, i know girls are not that shallow. but i just want to be at least the average standard mah. the important is that "you just have to believe that you can do it".
then we moved on to discuss which of the 7 deadly sins would most likely cause our downfall. he said that it would probably be greed, because without greed, the other sins wprobably wouldn't arise. i think it would most probably be lust or envy for me. i tend to get jealous when i see other guys better than me. why are they so fit? how come they have such great(looking)girlfriends? (lol)how come they are so multi-talented? then he said that actually these are normal human reactions so why are these sins? maybe because we should strive for perfection? haha. i said that my current target of envy is one of the guys from eye for a guy 2, that jeffy han dude. why is he so fit? how come he got to be with denise keller for so many weeks even though he didn't win? (ok la, maybe i sound kinda stupid)then ed said that it probably isn't envy but he is just some kind of role model to me. i guess i just wanna be more like him. haha. so can charm more girls. lol. i think the primary cause is still lust.
well, i think it's a luxury that we can still spend time thinking about things like these. it's fun and enlightening. more studying tomorrow. until, next time, cya~ oyasumi~ (time to drink more milk! muz grow taller!)
