saturday...campus rumpus with the saints!
current status: waiting for naruto chapter 248 to be transliteratedtoday started off in a rush i rushed to meet yu ning and the others at 12pm at harbourfront mrt station. so had some cookies 'n' cream ice cream with some milk (okok, technically it's a milkshake but since i didn't shake it, i'll call it a milkstir. haha) for breakfast. hey, who cares about calories when you are in a rush? i took the train and met yuning and co. inside harbourfront station which made me realize that we were on the same train. the group of people included yu ning, waye ning, fang li, li san, wei hong, wei qi and some others whom i don't know. while we were in the station i saw daniel and kum long and waved to them. they were also about to set off to sa and since no one in our group was sure of how to go, we decided to tag along with them.
the sajc campus is really old. but they are going to move to a new campus next year. when we got there, we decided to take a walk in the hall. there was so many people at sajc today that the noise was almost unbearable and it was virtually impossible to move about confined spaces. after visiting the hall, we decided to queue up for the haunted house. although the queue looked kinda long, it was actually moving considerably fast as people went in in groups of 4 to 7. this was bad. why? because i had promised eric that i would buy coupons from him and he was still making his way from ajc funfair. it was our turn and he wasn't here yet. great. fortunately , our group was way too big and we had to split into 2 groups. so i stayed for the 2nd group along with yu ting(who had met up with us), wei hong and wei qi. but the time that we managed to stall was not enough and it was our turn to go in. thank God the people in charge of collecting coupons before entering the haunted were in a state of confusion and they just let me through even though i hadn't gave them any coupons. yay! i got in free! well, i got pushed in first by yu ting and i had to in front of the group. it was pitch dark and i could hardly see where i was going. after we entered, there was a person in a mask(the type they use for fencing) with a torchlight and told us some scary story about the haunted house that had something to do with some guy killing his child and the grandmother wanted to save him but got killed too, i think. i couldn't really hear with all the screaming. so the person led us to this place and told us to look to our right where we could see a person with long hair combing her hair in front of a 'mirror'(obviously just a ring of cardboard) and then the 'reflection' just comes through the mirror and strangles the person.(more screaming around me) we then proceeded to where the person told us was 'the granny's room' where we see an 'old lady' with pretty gruesome make-up on a chair and a boy crouching. the old lady just walks past us then suddenly the boy lunges foward and tried to scare us. i admit i was surprised and did jump a bit. then we were told that there are 2 paths for us to choose and that we would have to proceed alone. we chose the left path. well, the rest of the journey involved having our legs touched, bumping into hanging spiders and voodoo dolls and not finding our way out. right. we then walked to the end where we managed to a door in the almost complete darkness if not for the dim light given out by some light sticks on the floor. we tried to open it but we realized there was a sign that said 'dead end'. then, we phone started to ring. it was eric and he called to tell me that he was finally here. geez. how anti-climatic. anyway, we wondered around the area because we really couldn't find the exit. one of the 'ghosts' finally showed us the door and we went out to meet up with the others. on the whole, it wasn't too bad but the one at zhonghua last yr was better.
i left the group to meet up with eric and finally bought the coupons from him. when i went back to find them, they were gone and i called yu ting but she didn't pick up the phone. apparently waye ning, yu ning wei qi and some others went off already. so i walked around a bit until i met lik khian and his friends from tj(this has been happening quite often huh?) we continued to walk around. hey, sajc also has a rock band! after walking for a while longer, yu ting called me back and i met up with her. after meeting up i got a hot dog from one of the stalls. it was ok but a bit messy and i think a little too much ketchup. we then proceed to the canteen and got drinks. yu ting and one of her friends wanted to eat their friend's hokkien mee. i gave it a pass and got a roti prata with cheese.( i think it's the original famous one. the man who makes it looks familiar) i think it was a little overated and you can hardly taste the cheese. when i looked at the time i realized that i was running late so i bid farewell and spent the rest of my coupons on banana fondue. it was really messy and i got chocolate all over my hands and mouth. thank God i saw yu cui and co. and managed to get some tissue from them before i ran off to the bus stop. i smsed hui shan and decided that i should just wear what i was wearing to the parent's day because i won't be the only one not wearing school uniform or half u.
i managed to meet up with my mum and bro and get there in time for the talk given by the principal. the next 1 and a half hour or so was a living nightmare for me. the topics i've been trying to avoid was not only brought up, but analyzed with great detail and was being slapped across my face time and time again. it was defnitely painful to experience. after the talk my mum seems even more convinced that i should stay at nyjc. i'm still pretty undecided at the moment. she even spoke to the principal at the reception after the talk and q&a session. the principal even sat down and had a short conversation with her. that was uncomfortable. we went home after having some light snacks.
on the way home, ed smsed me to tell me that a report would be done on the news later on our trip to escape. when we got home, i turned the news on and saw the report. i managed to catch a glimpse of myself on the flipper. haha.
the overall impression of sajc i got today is that it's a blend of VJC (which i dislike) and TJC (which i think is great). why? first the layout of the school is somewhat similar to TJC. when you first step into the school you will be walking into the classroom blocks, hall, canteen, lt's and etc. on the right of all the buildings is the track and to the right of that, it's the seats and also the tennis courts. second, i get some of the fun feeling i got at TJC but something was amiss. however, it was not the fakeness i felt in vjc. of course having a posuer rock band and the noise of the carnival didn't help me give a fair judgement of the school. also i just learnt that there are only 8 zhonghuarians there for the first 3 months and i only know i of them (eric). my attitude towards sajc has definitely less intense as before. now i really have no idea where i should go.(except for ajc. i just learnt that nyjc also has the people developer award but i've only seen ajc display the words really big on the wall of the front of the school to show that they have got the award. more proof of poor character in the school. flaunting achievements like this...geez...i'll NEVER want to go to ajc.)
well, the first part of today was quite fun but the second part sucked. thank God the day ended pretty ok. well, since i'm not going for the vm tomorrow, i guess i'll go to the 2e6 outing. well, until tomorrow then, cya~ oyasumi~
